Mon Valley Experiences Another H2S Exceedance Tuesday at Liberty Air Quality Monitor

The Mon Valley racked up another air quality exceedance Tuesday when concentrations of hydrogen-sulfide exceeded Pennsylvania’s 24-hour average at Allegheny County Health Department’s air quality monitor in Liberty Borough.

The average concentration yesterday was 0.006 ppm, according to preliminary health department data. The state 24-hour standard is 0.005 ppm.

The Tuesday H2S exceedance was fifth so far this month at the Liberty monitor.
