Displaying Air Quality Monitoring Data on your Website
Purple Air Map
Embedding monitor data, like this real-time map displaying Purple Air monitor data, is a great way to provide easy access to this information. Especially if you have a Purple Air monitor on municipal property, displaying the map on your website alongside some air quality information is a resource many residents will appreciate. Remember to publicize it and make sure residents are aware of this tool!
GASP is excited to give away a free Purple Air monitor in each SWPA county participating in workshops as part of this program - let us know if you'd like to host a workshop! In person or virtually, we can facilitate an hour-long workshop covering a wide range of topics and resources or we can briefly present at a meeting or event. We appreciate our partners' help connecting with local governments.
Air Now Widget
An Air Now widget like these ones are small and simple to embed on your website. These examples show Pittsburgh air quality. There are several design and display options.
This version of the EPA Air Now widget represents the AQI color-coded flags of their School Flag Program.
You can also embed a widget showing the readings from an individual Purple Air monitor.
