Community Event: Breathe Better Day

Carnegie Museum of Natural History

Celebrate air quality awareness with us! In partnership with Carnegie Museum of Natural History(external link) and the Breathe Project(external link), we present a day of lectures, discussions, and family-friendly activities. Just drop in!

Monet and the Modern City highlights how artists responded to the rise of industry, often characterizing the urban industrial landscape as a beautiful, powerful promise of the future. We know now that industrialization harmed the environment and many people’s quality of life, and remains an ongoing problem for our region. Through Breathe Better Day, learn the history of Monet’s interest in the city as subject, examine elements that affect Pittsburgh’s air quality, and discover ways to get involved.
