Crafts for Clean Air: Winter Sewing for Athletes

Patagonia Pittsburgh, 5509 Walnut St, Pittsburgh, PA 15232

Cold weather is coming! So, if you want to stay cozy and healthy while walking, running, and exercising outside this winter join the Group Against Smog and Pollution (GASP) and Creative Reuse for a free workshop at Patagonia Pittsburgh.

During the event, we will sew athletic winter wearables—create your own scarf, headband, ear warmers, face mask, wristlets, legwarmers, and more using reclaimed fleece, wool, and stretch fabric.

So join us and bring a friend (or two) so you can try out our sewing machines with help from Creative Reuse Teaching Artists while learning more about air quality and how to stay healthy during the cold weather months from GASP’s education coordinator.

Refreshments will be served. While registration isn’t required, it’s recommended (just so we can ensure we have enough snacks and beverages) and can be accomplished online.
