Public Event | Allegheny County Health Department Hearing on Coke Oven Regulation Revisions

Online

The Allegheny County Board of Health approved a public comment period and hearing for proposed modifications to its coke oven regulations and related sections and regulations relating to the Allegheny County Source Testing Manual. Comments will be accepted through 4 p.m. Jan. 21. Here’s what you need to know to submit comments.

A public hearing will be held online at 5 p.m. Jan. 20.

The proposed coke oven regulations will incorporate inspection procedures for coke ovens, address issues of stringency with federal and state requirements, correct the coke oven gas standards, and remove outdated language.

ACHD will also conduct a public comment period and hearing on the revised Allegheny County Source Testing Manual. The Source Testing Manual was last revised in 2010 and includes the methods for emissions testing and sampling of sources.
